Krnsko Jezero (Lake) is the biggest Slovenian lake in the mountains. It is 390m long and 150m wide at the widest point. Depth is 17,5m and the waterline is moving by some 2 meters through the year. The shortest hike to Krnsko Jezero is from Lepena valley. Leave the car at the end of the valley and then you need 1h 45min to the lake.
When you turn from the main road to the Lepena valley, you cross the Soča river.
Every april they measure the hight of the snow and mark it on this pole.
